The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation

 

VFW Scholarship--Voice of Democracy--

Students will compete by writing and recording an audio essay on an annual patriotic theme.  This year's theme is, My Responsibility to America.  It is open to students in grades 9-12.  Students will record an original 3-5 minute essay on an audio CD or flash drive.  One student per CD or flash drive.  You will submit the recording, typed essay and entry form to Mr. Halsey by October 14, 2016.     This unique site provides an alphabetical list of colleges and names scholarships that each institution guarantees to all admitted students who meet the specified criteria. Simply scroll down to the college you are interested in see if you qualify for any of the scholarships listed.

    The College Board's free scholarship search utilizes a database of more than 2,300 sources of college funding totaling almost $3 billion in scholarships and aid.
