Dr Pepper Tuition Giveaway Scholarship - $100,000 - 20 Awards (Deadline: October 18, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) The contest is open to all students of the freshman, sophomore, junior and senior classes (Grades 9 - 12) in the public, parochial, private and home schools within the jurisdiction of the sponsoring state society or district.

Maryknoll Scholarship - $1,000 - 6 Awards (Deadline: November 10, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Students in grades 6–8 (Division I) and grades 9–12 (Division II) qualify. Entries must be written in English,
only one entry per student. Children of Maryknoll employees, associates and affiliates are not eligible.

Student Photography Scholarship - $2,500 - 11 Awards (Deadline: November 15, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) High school students applying for these scholarships must have completed one year at an accredited high
school (student must therefore be a sophomore or older) and should have taken at least one photography or
related art class…or a College or technical school students applying for these scholarships must have
completed one year at a recognized college, university or professional school.

C) Student must enroll in semester beginning no later than Winter 2018

Barbara Lotze Scholarships for Teachers - $2,000 - 5 Awards (Deadline: December 1, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) An undergraduate student enrolled in an accredited two-year college, four-year college or a university; or a
high school senior accepted for such enrollment.
B) Pursuing, or planning to pursue, a course of study leading toward a career in physics teaching in the high
schools.

National Space Club Scholarship - $10,000 - 1 Award (Deadline: December 1, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) A) The applicant must be a U.S. citizen.
B) The scholarship is open to seniors in high school through graduate students.
C) The applicant must have the intention of pursuing a career in the STEM fields and plan to attend an
accredited U.S. college or university.

ACT Student Champion Award Scholarship

Applications are open for the ACT Student Champion Award! The ACT Student Champion Award recognizes one student in each state who is tenacious and persistent, no matter the challenge, and is prepared for life after high school with a goal in mind and plan in place.

ACT Student Champions receive a $500 non-renewable scholarship, certificate, plaque, and state-level recognition.

Please encourage students in the graduating class of 2018 who have taken the ACT who fit the following criteria to apply:

  • A student who has overcome challenges and can articulate education and career actions
  • Students must have a composite ACT score of a 22 on a single test date or a 3.0 or greater on a 4.0 scale
  • Preference will be given to underrepresented and/or first-generation college students.

Applications can be found at www.act.org/readinesschampions. Applications are due December 31, 2017, and champions will be notified on or before April 2, 2018. If applicants are under the age of 18, they must complete this form in addition to the application.

Louie Family Foundation Scholarships - $4,000 - 25 Awards (Deadline: March 31, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Be a freshman in the 2017-2018 academic year and anticipate enrolling at a U.S. accredited college/university in the 2017-2018 academic year.
B) Have a cumulative, un-weighted grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Students not on a 4.0 grading scale must convert their GPA to a 4.0 scale before submitting an application to the Foundation.

CHS Scholars Program - $2,000 - 30 Awards (Deadline: March 31, 2017)
To be eligible for the scholarship a student must:
A) Students must be entering their sophomore, junior or senior in an agriculture-related degree program.
B) Students pursuing a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) field of study with an interest in agriculture, cooperatives or rural America will be considered.

We have some exciting news regarding scholarships.  March 1st BAF (Beckley Area Foundation) will begin receiving scholarship applications electronically. 

The above link will take you to our new digital application site.  Evaluators will also be able to review on their computers. I will be formatting and sending sign on information to them. 

Final day for making application is April 1st. Students will need to click on the link which will take them to our log on page where they create an account and complete the applications for which they meet eligibility requirements.They will be listed as Fayette County with name of the scholarship following.

Wendy's High School Heisman

If you're a high school senior dedicated to learning, leading, and performing. you have exactly what it takes to become a Wendy's High School Heisman.

Eligibility begins with maintaining a GPA of 3.0 (B average) or better. Applicants also need to be proven leaders and role models within their school and community. And applicants must perform in at least one of the 43 school sponsored sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Associations.
