Battle of the Belts

Midland Trail High School will be competing in the WV Southern Regional Highway Safety Program.  This program is an occupant protection competition (Battle of the Belts) involving area High Schools.  The program is geared specifically toward raising the seat belt usage rate among high school students.  This competition challenges the students to buckle up as well as aggressively campaign throughout their school in various ways to encourage all students, faculty, and their parents to always correctly use their seat belts.  Seat belt usage will be checked from March 16 - March 31, 2015 by the Fayette County Sheriff Department.  Possible fine of $25 plus court cost for seat belt violations.  Prizes for the top 3 High Schools with the highest seat belt usage will be awarded, 1st place--$1500, 2nd place--$1000, 3rd place--$750.
