FPK8 School Social Studies Fair Information

Dear FPK8 Families,


We hope this letter finds you well. We are excited to announce the upcoming School Social Studies Fair, which will be held on February 5th during school hours. This event is an excellent opportunity for our students to showcase their knowledge, creativity, and passion for social studies.


To kick off the preparations for the Social Studies Fair, there will be an interest meeting for middle school students during intervention on Friday, December 1st. For students in grades 3-5, an interest meeting will be held during class time. During these meetings, students who express interest will receive a packet of materials containing guidelines and information on how to participate in the fair.


Additionally, we understand the importance of involving parents in this exciting academic endeavor. Therefore, our principal, Mrs. Harrah, will host a 30 minute Zoom meeting for parents who wish to support their students in the Social Studies Fair. This meeting is scheduled for Friday afternoon at 4:00 pm. A link to the Zoom meeting will be sent out through our texting app to ensure easy access for anyone who wishes to join.


To participate in the Social Studies Fair, interested students will need to submit the application included in the materials packet. The deadline for submission is Friday, December 15th. We encourage parents to review the information provided in the packet and attend the Zoom meeting to learn more about how they can support their child throughout this enriching experience.


We believe that the Social Studies Fair will not only showcase our students' academic achievements but also foster a sense of community and engagement within our school.
