FAQ Regarding Meal Program


How is the meal program changing?

The Fayette County Board of Education has been providing meals since Governor Justice announced that schools would be closed beginning March 16, 2020. That plan included delivery of food to each child’s bus stop. However, with the new announcements made by Governor Justice on Monday, March 23, 2020 regarding the COVID-19 protocols for all West Virginians, we will be changing the way food is delivered. Beginning Thursday, March 26, 2020, Midland Trail High School will provide meals to all students via the pick-up model. Parents/students may pick up five (5) days of meals each Thursday between 10AM and 12PM (Noon). Meals will no longer be delivered via bus routes each day effective Thursday, March 26, 2020. 


What day can I pick up a meal for my child?

Midland Trail High School will provide 5 days of meals (includes breakfast and lunch) each Thursday beginning Thursday, March 26, 2020. 


What time can I pick up meals at Midland Trail High School?

Each Thursday, beginning March 26, 2020, meals may be picked up between 10AM and 12PM (Noon).


What do I need to do when I arrive for pick-up of meals?

Upon arrival at Midland Trail High School campus, please pull your vehicle to the front of the building. Someone will deliver your meals to your personal vehicle. There is no need for you exit your vehicle.

What if my child attends Ansted Elementary or Divide Elementary schools?

If your child attends either school, you may pick up your meals at Midland Trail High School. The Fayette County Board of Education has set up feeding locations at six (6) schools across the county. ? Fayetteville PreK-8 (including Oak Hill High Students in the Fayetteville attendance zone) ? Meadow Bridge Elementary (which includes Meadow Bridge High School students) ? Midland Trail High School (which includes Ansted and Divide Elementary students) ? New River Primary (which includes New River Intermediate students) ? Oak Hill Middle (which includes Oak Hill High Students) ? Valley PreK-8 (which includes Gauley Bridge Elementary and Midland Trail and Oak Hill High students in the Valley attendance zone)
