Fayette County Board of Education Announcement
In accordance with West Virginia state law, the Fayette County Board of Education must appoint an individual to serve the remainder of the unexpired term of Gary “Coach” Ray, which concludes on June 30, 2026.
Residents interested in being considered for this appointment are invited to submit a cover letter and résumé addressed to Board President Pat Gray. Materials may be submitted in one of the following ways:

All application materials must be received no later than 4:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Because Coach Ray represented the Plateau District, only residents of that district are eligible for consideration.
The selected individual will assume the duties of office upon appointment and will serve through the end of the current term on June 30, 2026.
The BOE reserve the right to not select from the submitted candidates.
