Call to Action

Midland Trail High School is a participating school in West Virginia’s Empowerment Collaborative, a school-wide initiative that turns classroom learning into student-driven, community-focused problem solving. Students work on real local challenges — from transportation and public-service open houses to scavenger-hunt tourism projects — using CTE/entrepreneurial protocols to design solutions that build workforce skills and civic ownership.

We invite Fayette County businesses and community groups to partner with our students by submitting real problems or opportunities using the school’s Opportunity to Support form. When you share a challenge — big or small — Midland Trail students will research it, propose practical solutions, and often deliver prototypes, outreach events, or community-facing products. Your involvement gives students authentic experience and helps our community while offering low-cost, creative problem solving for local partners.
