Green Light to Marshall: Join the Herd with On-the-Spot Admissions.
We will be piloting on-the-spot admissions decisions at our Green & White Day on Saturday, September 13th. Students who come prepared can walk away admitted to Marshall for Fall 2026.
Here's what they'll need to bring with them:
A copy of their high school transcript (grades 9-11 completed, 2.0 or higher GPA)
A completed Fast Track application (they can complete it ahead of time at this link Fast Track Application or in-person at the event)
The transcript must show their home high school if a student attends a career and technical center.
Students must be on track to graduate with a standard high school diploma.
Green & White Day is a great way to explore campus, connect with our incredible faculty and campus resources, and take that exciting first step to joining our Thundering Herd. Plus, students and their families can experience gameday with free football tickets to watch the Herd take on the Colonels of EKU.
Registration is available here. Green & White Day Registration

Midland Trail Esports will hold its first practice on Tuesday, September 9 from 2:30 - 4:00 PM in the Diane Blume Learning Center. Interested middle and high school students must have a permission slip on file in order to stay. Permission slips may be picked up in the office from Ms. Claypool. MTHS will be competing in Smash Brothers and Rocket League with teams from all over the east coast. This is a great opportunity for MTHS students to showcase their skills and potentially earn college scholarships!

Teen Academy is a one-day hands-on program for High School Juniors and Seniors (2025-2026 school year) residing in West Virginia.
The FBI CJIS Division’s Teen Academy program in Clarksburg, WV allows a diverse group of high school students the opportunity to develop leadership skills and to investigate the world of law enforcement. Active explorations of information technology and forensic science grow students’ minds and bodies while age-appropriate lessons on topics such as violence prevention, sextortion, and hoax threats teach them how to stay safe. FBI staff, including special agents, intelligence analysts, and professional staff, lead discussions and interactive sessions focused on the work we do, how we do it, and, most importantly, why we choose this work in service of all Americans.
Any student with an interest in leadership and service is welcome to apply for this free opportunity. An interest in a law enforcement career is not a pre-requisite.
