We're back with fantastic senior ✨Brysen Lego✨ on this #WonderfulWednesday!
Brysen Lego is a senior at Oak Hill High School who’s excited to spend his last year back where it all started. After beginning his freshman year at OHHS, Brysen transferred to Parkersburg High School for his sophomore and junior years—but now he’s back home and ready to make the most of his senior year as a proud Red Devil.
Brysen lives in Fayetteville with his mom, Jennifer Lego, and has one older sister. He’s passionate about hunting and wrestling—two things that keep him competitive, focused, and always up for a challenge. This year, he’ll be wrestling for OHHS, and he’s looking forward to a great season on the mat.
When he’s not training or in class, Brysen likes to stay busy. He spent this past summer working for a roofing company, where he learned the value of hard work (and how hot those rooftops can get in July!). He’s also known for having a bit of a need for speed—he admits he loves to drive just a little faster than needed.
Whether he’s out hunting, hanging with friends, or spending time with family, Brysen brings a fun, easygoing energy to everything he does. With his determination and sense of adventure, there’s no doubt he’ll make his senior year one to remember.
Brysen, we're so happy that you returned to your Red Devil roots for your senior year, and we can't wait for all of the wonderful things your future surely holds! ❤️🖤

🥕 Our Health classes had an awesome day on Friday with New Roots Community Farm! Students got to visit a pop-up market right here at OHHS and take part in a hands-on pickling lesson led by the Farm's Kathleen and Grayson. 🌿🥒
They learned about where their food comes from, how to preserve fresh veggies, and the importance of making healthy choices.
Huge thanks to New Roots Community Farm for bringing this fun, interactive lesson to our students!❤️🖤

Exciting things are happening on the Oak Hill Campus! 🌲
We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our first new section of hiking trail, built by students in Mr. Carpenter's Outdoor STEM Lab. This project reroutes around a steep, muddy section of the existing trail to make it safer and more sustainable for everyone.
What started as only a concept last spring became a full-fledged class project this fall—complete with design work, training from WVU’s Outdoor Economic Development Collaborative (thanks to Logan Chapman!), and plenty of hard work with shovels, rakes, and teamwork.
These students have learned lessons that go far beyond the classroom, building something meaningful and lasting for our school community. If you see any of these amazing Outdoor STEM students, be sure to give them an Oak Strong high five! 👏

This #WonderfulWednesday, we're shining a light on a time-honored tradition - Homecoming! Featured below are our beautiful Queen, Baylee Hildebrand, and our handsome King, Derrick Sullivan, as well as a shot of our whole court. Also, throughout the week, students were dismissed for brief periods of time to celebrate the spirit of Homecoming, and our yearbook camera was there to capture it all.
