PTO Monday March 13th
8th grade students will take the multiple choice portion of the Golden Horseshoe exam tomorrow, March 9th. The Golden Horseshoe is a competition that assesses knowledge of West Virginia Studies. The exam is also a requirement for high school graduation. If a student is absent tomorrow, they will not be eligible for the Golden Horseshoe award, but they will need to do a makeup exam. Please encourage your student to put forth their best effort. We would love to recognize them as Knights of the Golden Horseshoe.

8th Grade students have the opportunity to offset the cost of their Carowinds trip by participating in the Double Good Popcorn fundraiser. The fundraising event starts at 5 pm March 17th. It will only open for four day. A short sprint sell is an effective way to raise funds. It is 💯 virtual AND the popcorn is shipped directly to the buyer. Parents will download an app to setup their child’s fundraiser. You will then be able to send out a link by text or social media to sell. Students will be able to apply 50 percent of their sales to their trip cost. Additional funds raised will be applied to 8th grade graduation. Please fill out the form on the link below indicating whether you will participate in the fundraiser OR pay for the cost of the trip in full. We need a response from each student planning to attend the trip no later than Friday, March 10th. We will send out directions for the fundraiser on Friday. We will also hold a session for parents who are not able to setup the app on Tuesday, March 14th at 5:00 pm in the cafeteria. https://forms.office.com/r/G2VEPMivaL

Please be advised that beginning tomorrow parents will no longer be permitted to arrive early for car rider line. The number of cars waiting each day has increased causing a safety concern for students playing on the playground. Cars may enter the line as soon as buses leave the property at 3:30 pm. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
