Due to predicted weather, all FPK8 student activities are cancelled today (August 7, 2023). No practices or activities are permitted after 12:00 today!
The FPK8 soccer team will start practice on August 7th, with open tryouts for any students interested in grades 6-8. This year our team will play 14 games and we hope to field a varsity and a jv team. Students must have a completed physical form to participate. Anyone that signed up to volunteer tomorrow for field day come to the football field at 8. Cooks are making pepperoni rolls and lunch is $4 to eat with your child during their lunch times which varies tomorrow to work around field day.
FPK8 PTO is in need of cases of water for field day on Friday. You may drop off at the school Wednesday or Thursday, or at the football field Friday morning.

The Fayetteville PK-5 Spring Concert will be Thursday, May 11th, starting at 9:30 am. Parents are invited!
There will be a brief interest meeting tonight at 6:30 pm for any boy or girl interested in playing basketball for FPK8 during the 23-24 school year. The meeting will provide information on summer practices.
Good evening. This message is for all 4th and 5th grade students. Please remember to dress appropriately to be outdoors for Project Adventure at the Fayette County Park. Students will need to wear multiple layers as the mornings are cooler. Please label your student's clothing items as we have students who take off layers and leave them in various locations. If clothing is labeled, we can make sure the item is returned to the correct child. 4th Graders will attend Thursday and 5th graders will attend Friday.
Please note the following bus changes for tomorrow. We will run Plan B for two buses for the PM runs only. Morning runs will follow the regular schedule.
Bus 1207, Jeanette Beals pm run only. She will be taking kids home beginning at 12:45.
Bus 1710, Mike Milam pm run only. Tyler Bussard will be making this run. He will begin depart from the school at 12:45.
PTO will be selling Smencils tomorrow, Friday, April 14th. Students can shop in the morning before 8:20 am.
PTO Will meet tomorrow at 5:30 pm in the cafeteria. We will be planning for end-of-year activities. If you would like to participate in field day or other events, please plan to attend.

Bus 1734 is running 10-15 minutes late.
Bus 1700 will be on a Plan B run tomorrow, March 10th. The morning run will be delayed 1 hour and 15 minutes. That means students should be at their stop 1 hour and 15 minutes after their normal pickup time. Students will be dropped off at home 2 and a half hours earlier than their normal evening time. That means someone should be at the stop to pick up students 2 and a half hours earlier than their normal evening pickup time. This only applies to students who ride bus 1700.
