FPK8 will host the Hunter Safety Education class sponsored by the WV DNR on February 15, 16, and 17 from 3:30 pm until 7:00 pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the office for any student who would like to attend. You may also call the office to add your child to the list.
Please be advised that beginning tomorrow parents will no longer be permitted to arrive early for car rider line. The number of cars waiting each day has increased causing a safety concern for students playing on the playground. Cars may enter the line as soon as buses leave the property at 3:30 pm. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

Please make sure you have a car rider tag in plain sight if you pick-up your student. Any person without a tag will be asked to come inside so we can check the yellow card and ID. You may obtain a car rider tag in the office at that time. We appreciate your patience as we ensure the safety of our students.
This is a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of Penguin Patch shopping. Any student that missed their shopping time earlier this week may shop tomorrow. In addition, PTO will be selling Smencils on Friday for $1. Thank you!
FPK8 will dismiss at 10:30 am this morning due to a power outage. Students will follow their normal dismissal procedures. Buses will leave at 10:30 am. Car rider pickup will begin at 10:45 am.
Parents of 8th grade students going on the NASA field trip tomorrow. Just a reminder, you must have your student to the school no later than 6am. If you still haven't turned in a permission slip for your student, please do so as soon as you can.
Parents the NASA field trip for the 8th graders has changed from November 30th to November 29th. We will still be leaving the school at 6:00 am.
This is a reminder that the FPK8 PTO Meeting is tonight at 5:30! In addition, PTO will be selling Smencils on Friday, November 18th. The cost per Smencil is $1.00.
There will be no CODA today due to our family event this evening. Students will follow their regular pickup or bus procedures.

This year's New Haven Christmas Project will be held December 9th & 10th at the old Nuttall Middle School. Please click the link below and fill out all the information needed to apply. Parents, our pumpkin drop for grades 5 through 8 has been rescheduled for this Friday, November 4th at 12:30pm at the football field. If you would like watch, please park in the gravel lot and walk up to the stands.
If you wish do drop your student's project off, please do so between 8am and 9am the morning of the drop at the football field. If students are bringing their projects without parent drop off, they need to be taken to their science teacher.

Good morning! Due to rainy conditions, we will be rescheduling the pumpkin drop. The new date will be released as soon as it is confirmed with the fire department.
In addition, the Halloween Parade and Trunk-or-Treat has been moved to the gym. Parents are still welcome to attend.
FPK8 is geared up for a great Halloween Monday!
Grades 5 through 8 will be having a Pumpkin Drop on the football field beginning at 10:00 am. Remember that this event is a family project! See our Facebook post and home letter for guidelines.
Grades P K through 4 will have a Halloween Costume Parade at 1:00 pm on the football field. Students should not wear costumes to school as they will be allowed to change prior to the parade. Students should not bring imitation weapons to school as part of their costume.
Parents are welcome to attend both events! If you wish to attend, please park on the gravel parking lot and report directly to the football field.
