Please be aware rising 7th and 8th graders received course request forms for the 25-26 school year to take high school credit classes and choice electives. The forms are due back Monday, 3/25 and require a parent signature.

Attention Softball Families: There will be softball flex practices on Monday and Wednesday immediately after school until 5 pm in the gym. Parent meeting to follow on Wednesday @ 5.

Attention FPK8 Families:
Due to a power outage, FPK8 will have remote learning on Monday, February 17th. Teachers will provide lessons for students to complete at home. Please check for communication from your child’s teacher regarding assignments.

FPK8 will be offering the Hunter Education Program through the WV DNR. The course will be offered February 18-20 from 3:30 - 7:00 pm at the school. Please use the link below if you would like your child to attend. Students must be in grades 4 and up to participate. Individuals must have this course before purchasing a hunting license in WV.

This is a reminder that our school Social Studies Fair will be held tomorrow. Students should take their project materials to the cafeteria in the morning for setup. Please remember to bring your abstract with your project display. Judging will begin around 9 am. Winners will be announced at the end of the day. Good luck to all of our fair participants!

The FPK8 Social Studies Fair will take place February 7, 2025. There will be a meeting tomorrow, January 14th during lunch times for students in grades 3-8 interested in participating. Projects are completed at home unless a teacher decides to make the project a class assignment. Families can find the information letter, and the project packet at the link below. The deadline to return the parent permission slip for the fair is due back to the office by Friday, January 17th. If you have any questions, please contact the school at 304-574-0560.

Due to an issue with the school boiler, FPK8 will be on remote learning Friday, January 3rd. Students will receive instructions and materials for remote work before leaving school today.

PK-4 Parents, this is a reminder that our annual Trunk or Treat/Costume Parade will start tomorrow, October 31st at 1:30pm at the football field. Parents are invited to watch the costume parade from the stadium bleachers! Students may wear their costume to school or pack it with them to change into before the parade. Students must be able to dress themselves. Masks are permitted during the parade only. No imitation weapons will be permitted. Happy Halloween!

PTO will be selling Smencils on Friday, October 25 in the lobby during arrival!

There will be a PTO Meeting on Thursday, October 24 at 6pm in the school cafeteria! Please come join us!

Beginning October 4, 2024 all students 8th grade and under will be required to be accompanied by an adult to enter an athletic event. Students will receive wristbands designating an adult is with them. An adult is designated as nineteen years of age and older. During the game students may sit with friends, go to the restroom and concession stand without an adult. Students WILL NOT be permitted to play ball or hang out in other unsupervised areas of the event. These measures are being put in place to provide better supervision and safety at all athletic events.
