Football practice for Oak Hill Middle School will start tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5th at the field from 2:30 - 5:00. A sports physical dated after May 1, 2025, is required. Athletes need to bring their own sealed water bottle.
At open houses this week and the first week of school, students will have the opportunity to take care of their lock for lockers. The cost will be $7. For the safety of students and staff, personal locks cannot be used.
Cross country practice will start Monday, August 4th at 6 p.m. You must have a current sports physical in order to participate.
Oak Hill Middle School will hold an orientation for students on the following dates: August 5th for 7th & 8th graders and August 6th for 6th graders. 5:00 - 6:30 each evening. Parents and students will receive important information, schedules, and can pay for locks on assigned lockers.

Cheer conditioning dates announced! Parent meeting: June 18th at 9:30. Conditioning from 10 to 12 on June 18, July 7 and July 8. Tryouts August 13 at 4 in the gym. Must have sports physical dated after May 1, 2025, to participate.
There will be a meeting for parents of students interested in trying out for football on June 10th immediately following practice.
Football training dates will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on the following dates: June 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, and 26. Athletes should bring black shorts, black socks, white t-shirt, and black, red, or white cleats. They should also bring their own sealed drinks. All participants should have a WVSSAC Sports Physical dated after May 1, 2025, and a Drug Test Consent Form. Parents must provide all transportation. Football practice for the 2025 season will begin Monday, August 11th from 2:30 to 4:30 at the field.
Teachers are going to be at school from 3 - 6 p.m. today to print out your child's test scores. We also have the information you need to enter the testing portal to see these scores onlline! We hope to see you at OHMS this evening!

As we approach the end of the school year, many students have accumulated personal items in their locker. These will all need to go home! Tuesday, May 27th is locker clean out day. The school will not be responsible for items left in lockers beyond this date.

Our boys' and girls' track teams are County champions! Sadie Sears, Brennan Brooks, and the girls' 4 x 400 team (Tessa Adkins, Sadie Sears, Ainslee Phares, and Kyndal Richmond) all broke county records! Way to go!!
Title I hosted an evening for incoming 6th graders to tour the school and get information that will help them transition to middle school. The Passport to Middle School Night was a huge success. There will be another night scheduled in August so stay tuned!
There will be an interest meeting for the 2025 Oak Hill Middle School soccer team at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, May 12th at the soccer field (varsity grass field). All students and parents with any interest in trying out for the team are encouraged to attend. We will be going over a layout and expectations for the upcoming 2025 soccer season.
