
Unfortunately, we have to cancel Bus 1670, Brian McGuire, am and pm runs tomorrow. If you take your child to school in the morning you must pick them up in the afternoon.


Unfortunately bus 1414, Denise Ward, will not make the morning or afternoon runs on Tuesday, March 29, 2022. If you bring your child to school, you must provide transportation home as well.


OHMS will have the last make-up testing for the Golden Horseshoe test on Wednesday March 30, 2022 @ 8:00AM. Those 8th grade students that have not taken the test should plan to attend to be eligible for high school graduation. Students should bring their charged device and charger. The test will take approximately 45 minutes.


OHMS will be having another make up Golden Horseshoe test on Thursday March 24 at 8:00 AM. This test is required to be eligible for graduation for all 8th grade students. Please bring your charged device for the 45 minute test.


Tomorrow Monday March 21, our OHMS 8th grade students will walk up for a transition visit to Oak Hill High School. Students will be escorted and divided into two groups. Please wear a jacket as it may be cool tomorrow.


Welcome Spring


Oak Hill Middle School will be adding to it’s school safety plan. We are receiving a new system that everyone will walk through. We are the only middle school in the US to have this mechanism. This will be installed and operational this week.


Baseball started this past Friday and the OHMS boys came away with a win!! Congratulations OHMS !


OHMS would like to remind families of the parent teacher conference tomorrow Monday March 21. We will begin at 4:00 and end at 7:00. Please remember the the middle school and the primary school are on different bell schedules. Please obey and be courteous to art those directing traffic and yield to all buses. We look forward to seeing and discussing your child’s academic progress as we enter the last grading period. Grades cards were sent home on Friday.

On Monday March 21, OHMS 8th grade students will be visiting Oak Hill High School on a transition visit. Students need will be divided into two groups and walk up to the school.


Parent teacher conference will be held on Monday March 21 from 4:00-7:00. Please remember the OHMS and NRP are on different bell schedules. Parents must wait to drive down the hill until the buses are gone and traffic directors allow. We look forward to seeing you on Monday.


OHMS will be administering the make-up Golden Horseshoe test on Tuesday March 15 and Thursday March 17 at 8:00AM. The legislature changed policy and this test is now required for graduation. If your child is on virtual or alternative, they must take this test to be eligible for graduation. Parents will drop their child off at 8:00AM with their charged device. The test will take approximately 45 minutes. Parents will pick their child up at 9:00AM. We remind parents that OHMS and NRP are on different bell schedules. You may have to drop your child in the gravel parking lot at the top of the hill for them to walk down.


OHMS would like to remind everyone to move your clocks forward 1 hour tonight. We will Spring forward after midnight.


Mary Draper Ingles visited OHMS and told her story of heroism and how she and others survived the Indian raids.





OHMS will host a Reading Night on Tuesday March 8 from 6:00-8:00 for parents and students. Students will receive bonus points when they attend with their parent. Refreshments and door prizes will be available. We look forward to seeing you !


Wednesday March 9, Oak Hill Middle School 8th graders will be visiting Fayette Institute of Technology. Students will be divided up, walk to FIT and visit each of the different vocational programs offered. We ask that students wear a jacket in case of cooler weather.
