8th Grade Students will take the WV Golden Horseshoe Essay test on Tuesday, February 8th. If your student is in the 8th grade, it is important that they are present on this date.


HAT DAY ! OHMS is having Hat Day the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month until the end of school. $1 for participation. Please read the form to understand the rules for participation.


Tomorrow Monday January 31, OHMS will offering virtual middle of the year testing from 4-6. Virtual students need to bring their device and their charging cord. Parents please remember that NRI is on a different schedule. Please remain out of the loop between the schools and respect those that are directing traffic.

Congratulations to Solomon Truman on his 7th place finish in the WSAZ State Wrestling Tournament. This is the highest place finish of any OHMS student- athlete!



Due to incoming weather this afternoon, all games/practices are canceled for today, January 28, 2022.

Due to predicted weather tomorrow, Friday January 27, there will be a 2 hour early dismissal for all Fayette County students. OHMS students will be boarding buses at 12:36 and parent pick - up will be approximately 12:45PM. There will be no sign-outs after 12:00OPM.


OHMS would like to remind all parents and guests that the bus loop between OHMS and NRP should not be utilizes for parking. It is imperative that buses have the right of way at all times and that the bus circle remain clear.
During morning and evening bus dismissal and drop off, parents should not be in the circle. Please remember that OHMS and NRP are on different arrival and dismissal times.

OHMS 8th grade recognition for boy’s and girl’s basketball and wrestling will be Tuesday January 25. The recognition ceremony will be between the varsity games. There will be only varsity games this night.
