Attention Valley PK-8 2022-23 Students (5th Grade and Up)
Beginning Band Instrument Tryouts
Thursday 8-4 and Friday 8-5
1-3:30 Both Days (First Come basis)
Any Valley PK-8 student (rising 5th graders and above) who is interested in joining the beginning band can take part in instrument tryouts to see what instrument matches your unique talents and gifts. These tryouts will be on a first come, first try basis. Drop by the band room (through the band hall door) on Thursday August 4, or Friday August 5 between 1 and 3:30. If someone is already in the band room please wait in the hallway.
Those not available for tryouts those two days will still be able to test the instruments. To do so, you will need to schedule an after-school tryout with Mr. Dyer once the school year starts.
Valley PK-8 will hold an Open House on August 19, 2022 from 4:00-6:00. Parents and students will be able to meet faculty and administration, tour building and enjoy activities.
Valley PK-8 hosted a stop by for the Ambassadors of Run For The Wall! It was a wonderful meet and greet.

Valley PK-8 Virtual Students will be turning in computers May 16-18, 2022. Please bring into clerk at the front door. Valley PK-8 in person students will be turning in computers May 16-19, 2022. Please make certain that all Fayette County devices are turned in before May 20, 2022. Thank you for your cooperation.
Valley PK-8 had end of year fun day for students on May 9 and May 11, 2022. Fun day consisted of inflatables, bungee bounce, gaming trailer and prizes!

Bus 2107 will not be running Persimmon Road, Cain Branch and Taylor Hill Road today. Bus 1701 will not run Elk Ridge Road. Bus 1285 and Bus 1527 will assist pick up on Armstrong Creek. Starting Monday, May 2, 2022, parent drop off for students grades 3-8 will be at the side parking lot Route 60 to the main door of building. Buses will dropping off at the main door. The Auxiliary Gym will be closed. The evening parent pick up will line up as usual, but they will drive to the new eating area after buses have left the parking lot. Student in Valley PK-8 ELA 6th grade had a “Living Wax Museum” Students had to research and present information about a civil rights activist. Students really got into the part!

Valley PK 8 School will be administering the General Summative Assessment in Grades 6-8 Monday April 25, 2022, at 8:15. Testing will take place Monday - Wednesday. Please have your child bring their county issued computer charged and ready to be used.
This is an important announcement for Parents, Students and Faculty of Valley PK 8 School. Valley PK 8 School will be operational for Monday, April 25, 2022. However, there will be no school for students in Pre Kindergarten through Second Grade. These rooms are in the process of having furniture moved back into the classroom. These rooms will be ready for operation on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. Again, Valley PK 8 School will be operational for student in grades 3rd through 8th grade. There will be no school on Monday, April 25, 2022 for students in PK, Kindergarten, 1st Grade, Second Grade, Mrs. Tara Warden's room and Miss McKenzie Lewis's room. We appreciate your cooperation and your patience as we work to get these classrooms functional again.
