October 3-7, 2022 will be Middle Level Mania Week. All students can participate in our dress up days. The Middle Level Students will have an informal dance on October 5, 2022 from 2:45-5:00 P.M. Students must not have no suspensions or in school suspensions. A flyer has been attached for the events.
October 6, 2022 we will host Eighth Grade Night for our Cheerleaders and Football players. The activity will take place prior to the start of the Football Game. The Football game will begin at 6:00 P.M.
Bus 1527 and 1701 are behind truck stuck on the curve at Deepwater Mountain. Buses will be running late. If you bring your child to school we will supply transportation home.
Bus 1701 is broke down. We will not run the morning pick up run. We are sorry for this issue. If you are able you will need to bring students to school. We are working on fixing this issue for this evening.
Bus 1527 will not be making morning and evening run for September 13, 2022. If you are able to transport your child to school you will need to pick up your child in the evening. Thank you for your cooperation and patience. Have a good evening.
Valley PK-8 will host a Title One Parent Information night on September 13, 2022. The time is 4:00-5:00. We will be providing information on Title One, and how to read and determine student progress from last year’s GSA results. We will be offering pizza for all that attend. Come join us. Bus 1527 will not be making the morning and evening runs for Thursday, September 8, 2022. Also, on Thursday, September 8, 2022 Bus 2233 will pick up Bus 2108 and Bus 2233 students. Bell Creek students need to meet the bus at Elswick’s. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
Bus 1701 will be running morning and evening runs tomorrow, September 1, 2022. There will be a sub driver and sub bus. Please have students at pick up at designated times. Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Bus 1701 will make the morning run today August 31, 2022. Bus 1701 will not run evening route. The students will have transportation home but they will be approximately 20 minutes late.
Bus 1527 will not be making the evening run today. If you brought your child to school today you will need to pick them up this evening.
Bus 1527 will not be making the morning or evening run today, August 26, 2022. If you bring your child to school you will need to pick them up in the evening. If you cannot they will be counted as excused.
We are making all complete runs to all of our routes. We are just letting parents know what buses students are on. Bus 1701 is the only bus not running but we have that route covered by two buses.
Bus 1701 will not be running. Bus 1527 will drop off from the mouth of Kimberly to Water Office. Bus 1285 will take home past water office McDunn and Elk Ridge students. Please be patient with transportation. Traffic will be slow.
The Gateway Center in Smithers will have boxed or canned food for families affected by the recent flood. The food will be located on the sidewalk in front of Gateway Center starting at 3:00 today, August 25, 2022.
This is a message from Valley PK-8 School. Classes begin tomorrow, August 22, 2022. We will open our doors to students at 7:15. Parent drop off for students Kindergarten thru second grade will be the new eating area. Please do not block off our buses. Parent drop off for students grades three thru eighth grade will be the side parking lot on route 60 side. There will be an orange marker for the drop. Students riding the bus to school will be dropped off at main entrance and PK-2 entrance.
There has been some modifications to student pick up for bus 2107. Please listen carefully to these locations. No Scrabble Creek Run. Students who can meet the bus will be picked up at the bottom of School House Hill. School House Hill students will meet bus 2107 at the old Gauley Bridge Elementary Building. Cane Branch bus students will be picked up on Route 60. Dismissal for students will take place at 2:30. Parents will pick up students following the departure of buses. Please line up on Route 60 side of building and going back into ball field for line up. Thank you and have a pleasant evening.
We would like to thank our Parents and Guardians who came out tonight to join the Faculty and Staff in our Open House. After such a tragic and trying week we certainly enjoyed the fellowship and excitement of a new school year starting up. May Peace be with you all.
Valley PK-8 will be hosting an Open House today, August 19, 2022. The time will be 4:00 until 6:00. Please come out and meet Faculty and Administration. We will have information on Title I, class schedules for grades 6-8, refreshments, and parent resources.
There will be nurse administering vaccines at the old Gauley Bridge Elementary School on August 17, 2022 beginning at 8:30 and concluding at 4:00.
Vaccines at Valley PK-8 will begin at 12:00 on August 17, 2022.
We will report at 7:10 August 17, 2022. We are under a boil water advisory so please bring drinking water. Faculty and Staff Orientation begins at 7:30. Those that are scheduled to be somewhere else were notified by email or text. Mr. Loy looks forward to seeing the whole “Greyhound Family”!
