Bus 2107 will not be running Persimmon Road, Cain Branch or Taylor Hill in the morning and afternoon. If you bring your child to school you must also pick them up in afternoon. We dismiss at 12:30 today.

Fayette county Schools will be releasing early on April 14, 2022 for Faculty Senate. Valley PK-8 buses will be leaving the campus at 12:30 tomorrow.

Spring pictures will be taken on April 20, 2022. Flyers will be sent home with students. The Fraternal Order of Eagles will be sponsoring an Easter Egg Hunt on April 17, 2022 at Valley PK-8 Football field. Infants to 12 yrs. Old are welcome. Easter baskets for all kids and drawing for bicycles.

Valley PK-8 School hosted a Career Day for 5-8 grades including GBES. Students were introduced to the many different careers available. The students got to interact with those people in the field. It is a “Great day to be a Greyhound!”

Valley PK-8 PTO will be offering a spaghetti dinner pick up night at the new eating area on April 29, 2022. The time will be from 4:00-6:00. Students will be receiving order forms and tickets this week. The order forms will need to be turned in with money by April 22, 2022. Make checks payable to Valley PTO. The fundraiser will help with programs and field trips for students.

There will be a two hour early out for students at Valley PK-8 School on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Buses will be leaving the School at 12:30. There will be no school on Friday, April 15 and Monday, April 18, 2022.

Valley PK-8 held A Title I Parent Engagement Night. “Math, Art and Ice Cream!” Parents had an opportunity to work with their child in hands on math activities. There was plenty of artwork posted for parents to view. Math manipulative packs for door prizes. We had an excellent turnout. Thank you Parents!

Valley PK-8 will be implementing new security measures beginning April 8, 2022. These measures are not a result of an increased threat, but the result of a grant acquired by the county. We are excited for the opportunity to create a more secure environment for our students and staff.
